Volunteer

Help us help local families impacted by cancer by becoming a volunteer.

By volunteering with the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you have made a difference at a grassroots level.

You’re sure to make great friends and have a lot of fun too!

Join our Fundraising Committee

Our Fundraising Committee plays a vital role in assisting our Manager with ideas, ticket sales, and setting up and packing down events.

Members are asked to meet once every four to eight weeks, depending on the frequency of events.

In return you will get the opportunity to meet new people, develop new skills and make a significant contribution to a truly worthwhile cause.

Become a Cancer Pal

Our Cancer Pals are volunteer community advocates who serve as a link between the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund and communities throughout the region.

The cancer centre services all areas within a 200km radius of Albury, with two thirds of our patients coming from regional communities.

Our Cancer Pals assist the Trust Fund by promoting fundraising events, helping identify potential donor sources and serve as a point of contact for anyone wanting information on how to support the cancer centre in their community.

Anyone interested in the role can download the Volunteer Community Advocate Brief, or phone us on (02) 6064 1538.

Catherine Howard

“It’s really good to give back to the community when the cancer centre has been so good to my family. Having seen my brother and mother use the facility, it’s fantastic that I can give some of my time back to help others. And you’re working with a bunch of like-minded people on the committee and you have lots of fun.”
