Silent auction to support staff training
While the Berringa Community Morning Tea has been put on hold again this year, the organising committee will still support the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund through a silent auction and raffle.
The event in 2019 raised more than $26,000 which went towards a scholarship program aimed upskilling oncology nursing staff.
Uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 has meant the morning tea has been cancelled for a second year in a row this year, with organisers still keen to raise funds to go towards staff training and development.
A silent auction will be held at the Peninsula Community Market in Bellbridge between 9am and 11.45am on Sunday, June 6.
A range of donated goods such as electrical items, jewellery and handcrafted woodwork will be up for grabs.
A raffle with a patchwork queen size quilt, load for firewood and necklace and earring set is also being held.
Tickets are $5 each and can also be purchased at the community market.
