Lake Hume Cycle Challenge Pedals to Success: $35K Raised in 25th Year of Annual Bike Ride!

The 25th annual Lake Hume Cycle Challenge (LHCC) Bike Ride was nothing short of a celebration, attracting riders from across the globe—yes, even as far as Melbourne and France! Held on a picture-perfect day with ideal weather conditions, cyclists of all levels enjoyed sunny skies and smooth roads as they rode in support of cancer services.

With the event’s milestone 25th year, participants from near and far came together to raise an incredible $35,000 for the Trust Fund. Riders pushed through scenic routes, each pedal stroke contributing to a greater cause and bringing the community one step closer to a world with better cancer care.

“This was truly a special day,” said event organizer David Dow. “We couldn’t have asked for better weather, and it was fantastic to see so many passionate riders, from locals to those traveling from Melbourne and even France, coming together for such an important cause.”

“We are absolutely thrilled with our ongoing partnership with the LHCC Committee. The countless number of volunteer hours that enable this event demonstrates an incredible commitment to Cancer Serices here in our community” said Andrew Mackinlay, Trust Fund Manager. ” Over the years the LHCC has raised over $200,000 for our local community”.

The funds raised will go directly to supporting vital cancer services in the region, ensuring that patients and families receive top-tier care. The LHCC Bike Ride’s success, marked by an amazing turnout and fantastic weather, proves that no matter how far you travel, the spirit of community and support for cancer services will always ride strong.
