Murray Heritage Motorists Drive Support for Cancer Services with Latest Donation
A long-running tradition of community generosity has continued, with the Murray Heritage Motorists Club this week donating $600 to the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund.
The club, made up of around 80 members from across the region – including Wodonga, Wangaratta, Corryong, Corowa, Yackandandah and Running Creek – raised the funds over the past year through monthly gold coin collections at their general meetings.
Vice President Greg Oates led the initiative, which reflects the club’s ongoing commitment to supporting local cancer services, a cause deeply valued by its members.
This latest contribution brings the club’s total support to $1,700 over the past three years.
“Our members are passionate about giving back to the local community, especially when it comes to something as important as cancer care,” Michael Cooper, Club Secretary said.
The Trust Fund expressed its sincere gratitude to the club for their generosity and continued community spirit.
Ongoing support from local groups like the Murray Heritage Motorists helps ensure the region’s Cancer Centre can provide the best possible care for local patients and their families.
